M&V Vesuvius Dual Boiler Espresso Machine

The Vesuvius by M&V is one of the world's first prosumer, computer-controlled espresso machine with an E61 group. It delivers true pressure profiling via its FG304 gear pump and speed controllable motor. The Vesuvius is operated completely through its PID touchpad display, which informs you of the current temperatures of the boilers, the pressure, and if you are running it off the tank, the amount of water left. These machines all come inside a wooden crate and are bolted to the base of the crate. We then strap the crate to a pallet to ship them.

The Vesuvius has a unique placement for its water tank; instead of being accessed from the top of the machine, usually located right under the cup warming tray, this machine has the tank hidden behind the left side panel, which can be accessed by opening up a simple latch and tilting to the left. No need to constantly remove and stack up your cups every single time you need to add water to the reservoir. The main power switch is also located here.

The Vesuvius ships with the following accessories included:

  • Single Spout Portafilter
  • Double Spout Portafilter
  • Single and Double Portafilter Baskets
  • Backflush Disc
  • Braided Waterline
  • Drain Hose

Letter from the Owner of M&V

"For 3 generations we have designed and manufactured equipment for Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering Business sector.

My grandfather, Umberto Cortese, started the company in the early 50's by repairing and selling coffee machines, with the cooperation of his 3 sons; Letterio, Salvatore and Guiseppe. In 1962 after years of research and development the first ice beverage machine was realized, revolutionizing the production of slush in the world. A hot chocolate copper machine was added to the range of machine products.

Our research and developing equipment work brought in 1983 to a change in the slush world market: the first horizontal developing slush. The new method permitted to reach the best slushes production in half the time. A system adopted by all manufactures until today.

In a multifaceted and evolving market, we went back to the basics by introducing in our production a series of models of coffee machines with unique features in terms of technology and design, pressure profiling, dual boiler lever machine and more.

Everything we produce is made in Italy, and the components used are the result of ongoing research and selection of the best that the European scene can offer.

In memory of my father,
Paolo Cortese

AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING

This machine is loaded into a wooden crate in Italy before it is shipped. Each Vesuvius is bench tested before shipping and then returned to the crate and strapped to a pallet. Photography will be taken off the wrapped pallet before it ships from here and sent to you along with the carrier name and pro number.

When shipping to a residential address you will need to contact the carrier to schedule a delivery appointment if it is a residential address. If you do not want to contact the carrier, the terminal dispatch will contact you to schedule the delivery, but it will add one day to the ship time. You can call the destination terminal to schedule while the machine is in transit if you wish. The distributor will order a lift gate and the driver will take the machine off the truck, but they will not go inside the home so you must be present for the delivery (this is the trucking company's policy due to liability).
